Rules
Registration
• This site is hosted on Proboards, therefore you must register with your name in all lowercase letters and then change it once you are accepted. This can be done by going to your profile and clicking "Modify Profile". The space to change your username is in the very first section titled "Account Information". There is no set requirement for what your name should look like, but your username MUST include your characters first and last name.
• When making a character, you must fill out the application completely. This means meeting all of the requirements, which will be specified within the application. You may post your application as a (WIP). YOU MUST WAIT UNTIL YOUR APPLICATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED TO BEGIN ROLE PLAYING! OR FEEL MY WRATH! You may have two canons (provided you are active) and up to three OC (provided you are active).
• When you complete your application, please be patient as the admins have lives outside of role playing (allegedly). If it takes over 2 days to look at your application you may pm us to remind us.
• After you have been accepted, be sure to post in the face claim and any other claims that you might desire. If you do not claim your character's face, that face will still be open. That means that if someone comes along after you wanting to use that person, they will be able to as long as they claim it as well. We provide the code and everything, all you have to do is post it. Please do not claim until you have posted your application. Face claims may be reserved for four days.
Literacy
• One line posts WILL NOT be tolerated. There is no minimum word count for this site at the moment, but we ask that you try to post at least two good paragraphs (and by good I mean good) more than that is fantastic. It's not difficult to do. Describe your characters actions, thoughts, feelings, surroundings... but keep it interesting, please.
• Grammar is key. Please make sure that you use proper grammar, or we will set our resident Grammar Demon on you. Please try to include apostrophes and other punctuation in appropriate places, and try to spell as best you can. If possible, use a program with a spell check feature, it can be very helpful.
• Likewise “txt speak” such as U, UR, NEWAY, 2DAY etc will also not be tolerated less it is in an email/text within the rp.
In Character
• No Godmodding. If you want to get into a fight with another character fine, but please discuss your plan with them before you go severing limbs.
• Keep it realistic! Your character MAY NOT be a Mary-Sue, meaning that they cannot be perfect or ridiculously close to perfect. Noone’s perfect, so why should your character be? We will be blunt and tell you if you are apping a Mary-Sue... so be warned.
• Please keep in mind the posting order in mind when replying, you wouldn’t like it if you were missed out, hum? So have the common courtesy not to do it to others, Repeat offenders will be warned.
Out Of Character
• Be nice to others! We do not want people fighting in the chatbox over stupid things. If you really want to fight, do it somewhere else. Ask the person for their AIM and fight with them there if you have to. Just resolve it before you get back here.
• No whining or pestering people to reply. Be patient when waiting for a reply, if they haven't replied in, say, a week or so, you may nicely remind them of the thread that you want them to reply to. I understand that sometimes you can be really into a role play, but try not to be obnoxious about it. People have things to be doing besides replying, so just keep that in mind.
Other
• Role playing is all about fun, so enjoy yourselves! Don't stress about it and make it a serious thing, okay?
• If you have any questions or need help, feel free to PM an admin or post a thread about it, I'm sure someone will be willing to help, we’re not complete ogres.
• In case these rules aren't clear and long enough, use common sense! We reserve the right to warn/suspend you if you do something that's just plain stupid and should be an obvious "No no".
• Lastly, this is a devil may cry site; it will involve a lot of fighting and such so please don’t start complain about the violence. Mild language and sexual content will be allowed but I don’t want to see it in very post. If your thread contains mature content please mark it so that people know this.
